Hat Ta Waen is located in south of Koh Larn Island
Hat Ta Waen is a long, lively stretch of white sand, popular for jet skiing and banana boating. There are sun loungers and food stalls.
The restaurants in this area offer fire-fighting shows at night. Food prices are higher than on other beaches, and there is a convenience store.
How to go:
1. Get to Bali Hai Pier
- Location:
Bali Hai Pier is at the southern end of Pattaya, at the very end of Walking Street.
You can take a taxi, a baht bus, or a songthaew (a local shared taxi truck) from anywhere in Pattaya to the pier.
2. Choose your boat
- Ferry:
- Cost: Around 30 baht.
- Duration: About 30-45 minutes.
- Departure: Ferries run frequently throughout the day from around 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, or until the last boat departs.
- What to expect: This is a comfortable and popular option, but it can be crowded, especially on weekends.
- Speedboat:
- Cost: Around 150-300 baht per person.
- Duration: About 15-20 minutes.
- What to expect: This is the quickest way to get to the island. It can be a bumpy and less comfortable ride, so it's not recommended for young children, pregnant women, or those with health issues.
3. On Koh Larn
- On arrival: You will arrive at Na Ban Pier on Koh Larn.
· · Getting around the island: From the pier, you can find truck taxis (songthaews) waiting to take you to various beaches, like Tawaen Beach or Samae Beach. Motorbike taxis are also available for hire
