Great value course in a remote valley around 50 mins from Pattaya

Originally opened in 1996 but renovated and upgraded in 2014 with the addition of a brand new clubhouse, the Ronald Fream-designed Pattavia Century Golf Club is now a great course in a wonderful rural environment surrounded by pineapple plantations.

While definitely not a championship course, it's generally kept in impeccable condition and the layout is excellent. The undulating greens run fast and true, the pristine fairways are bordered by some tricky rough, and the eight on-site lakes present their own challenges.

With some narrow landing zones, long par-3s and occasional blind tee shot, it's tough to score well on our first round, but even if your scorecard is ugly there are some great views on offer from some of the elevated tees.

The updated clubhouse is fairly small but features excellent locker rooms, a decent pro shop and a restaurant offering Thai and Western dishes. While the road leading to the course could do with an upgrade, the bumpy ride from Pattaya is more than worth the trip, and a round at Pattavia Century Golf Club is an excellent choice on any Pattaya golf holiday.
