A very challenging course in a very picturesque setting

Located in the foothills north of Pattaya near Khai Kheow National Park, Pleasant Valley Golf & Country Club is one of the most difficult golf courses in the area. Although you may end up with an ugly scorecard the sheer natural beauty of this underrated club more than makes up for it.

The course, typically in impeccable condition, is dotted with numbers lakes and swamps that are home not just to a vast array of local wildlife, but also thousands of lost golf balls - the main reason why scoring around here is difficult.

There are a couple of fairly substantial forced water carries, and numerous holes dog-leg around bodies of water, and it's hard to resist the temptation to cut corners. This is especially true on the spectacular finishing hole, where its all too tempting to aim directly at the green instead of playing around in regulation. The chances are your scorecard isn't in good shape by that point anyway, so we'd encourage you to have a crack!

The clubhouse facilities are excellent with some great views over the course, especially from the very nice and well-priced restaurant. The caddies aren't as knowledgeable as at some other courses in the area, but they are polite and generally good fun.

Overall, a round at Pleasant Valley Golf Club is an excellent choice for any golf holiday in Pattaya, as long as you don't worry too much about your scorecard.
