Koh Samui Balloon of Love 2027
Every Valentine's weekend, the Samui Balloon of Love fills the sky of Koh Samui with colourful balloons and kites, as the sun sets over the sea. On 14 and 15 February 2027, the festival invites couples, families and friends to celebrate love in one of the most romantic settings in Thailand.
Organised by the Koh Samui office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the event is free and open to everyone. The previous edition took place at Nathon Beach, on the island's west coast, famous for its sunset views.
A Sunset Celebration by the Sea
From late afternoon into the evening, the beach comes alive with balloons and kites drifting above the water, live music on the sand and a soft golden light as the sun goes down. It is a peaceful, festive celebration, far from the crowds of the island's busiest beaches.
