Pattaya International Kite on the Beach
Every year at the end of the high season, the Pattaya International Kite on the Beach festival turns the sky above Pattaya Beach into a giant open-air gallery. From 25 February to 1 March 2027, giant kites from around the world will fly above the sea in front of Central Pattaya, creating one of the most colourful and photogenic events of the year.
The previous edition welcomed kites from 12 countries and a parade of giant character kites stretching more than one kilometre along the beach.
A Sky Full of Colour
Giant character kites, creative inflatables and international designs float above the waves, while professional sport kite teams perform precision flights choreographed in the sky. Kites usually fly every afternoon, from around midday until 6 pm, depending on the wind.
A Festival for the Whole Family
The beach itself comes alive too, with a kite market, street food stalls, music, photo spots and sunset views over the Gulf of Thailand. Free and open to everyone, the festival is especially popular with families, children and photography lovers.

Good to Know
The festival draws large crowds, especially in the late afternoon and at weekends, and traffic can be very heavy along Beach Road and across central Pattaya. Parking near the beach is limited, so walking or using a ride-hailing app is often the easiest way to get there.
