Samui Regatta 2027
The Samui Regatta is one of Asia's premier sailing events and the longest-running sporting event on Koh Samui. From 22 to 29 May 2027, sailing teams from around the world will gather at Chaweng Beach for a week of international yacht racing on the crystal-blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
Created in 2002 as a small local event, the regatta has grown into an international competition. It is part of the Asian Yacht Circuit and is the only multi-class sailing competition held in the Gulf of Thailand.
A Week of Racing on the Gulf of Thailand
During regatta week, yachts of different classes compete in a series of races off the coast of Koh Samui, with steady winds, warm waters and the island's green hills as a backdrop. Experienced crews and passionate amateurs race side by side, making the event as exciting for sailors as it is for spectators watching from the beach.
More than a Sailing Race
When the races are over, the celebration continues on land. Regatta week is known for its lively beach evenings, opening and closing ceremonies, prize presentations and social events, bringing together sailors, their teams and visitors in a festive island atmosphere.
