The Course
9 holes · play them twice for a full 18-hole round
Carved into the mountainside, Royal Samui is a true test of golf. Steep drops from elevated tees, sloping fairways and well-protected greens demand precise club selection on every shot, and only skilled golfers will get close to par. Every hole also offers a new view over the course, the coastline and the sea.
On a clear day, the view stretches across the Gulf of Thailand to the neighbouring islands, a setting very few courses in Asia can match.

Good to Know
Golf carts are compulsory: the course is set on steep slopes, and carts can be shared by two players.
Precision over power: club selection and accuracy matter more than distance on this mountain layout.
A full round: play the 9 holes twice for 18 holes, in about 4 hours.
Tee off early: mornings are cooler, with the clearest views over the islands.
Bring your camera: the views from the tees are among the most beautiful on Koh Samui.
