Mong Chang Cafe: Coffee with Elephants in the Jungle
Hidden inside Pattaya Elephant Village, Mong Chang Cafe is one of the most unusual cafés in Thailand. In a jungle-style setting surrounded by big trees and a river, you can sip a coffee while elephants walk and bathe just a few metres away, then watch the colourful Mong Chang fantasy show. A fun half-day out of the city, popular with families.
What to Expect
A jungle café: shaded terraces and indoor seating overlooking the forest and the river, with coffee, fresh drinks, Thai and international dishes.
Elephants up close: watch the elephants walk down to the water and bathe, and feed them bananas.
The fantasy show: an outdoor show mixing cabaret performers, Thai culture and animals, held several times a day.
Elephant activities: elephant rides through the forest and across the stream, and elephant bathing sessions, available on site.
A mini zoo: goats, monkeys, gibbons, birds, guinea pigs, snakes and more, with plenty of photo spots along the way.
ATV rides: short off-road rides around the village, from 15 minutes to 1 hour.

Good to Know
Best time: come in the afternoon for the show and the golden light through the trees.
Elephant bathing: bring a change of clothes and a towel if you plan to join a bathing session.
Sun and insects: bring sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent for the outdoor areas.
Getting there: Bolt or Grab is the easiest option, or ask our team to arrange your transport.
