Nong Nooch Tropical Garden: A World of Gardens South of Pattaya
Spread over 600 acres south of Pattaya, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is one of the largest botanical gardens in Southeast Asia and one of the region's most famous attractions. Walk through more than 30 themed gardens inspired by places around the world, from a French garden in the spirit of Versailles to a valley of life-size dinosaurs, then enjoy the Thai cultural show and the elephant show. A full, colourful day out for the whole family.
What to Expect
Themed gardens: the French Garden, the Italian and European Gardens, Stonehenge, Butterfly Hill, the Flamingo Garden, and collections of orchids, bromeliads, cacti and succulents.
Dinosaur Valley: giant, life-size dinosaur sculptures set in the greenery, a favourite with children.
Thai cultural show: traditional dances from the four regions of Thailand, Muay Thai and sword fighting in a large open-air theatre.
Elephant show: held right after the cultural show, in a neighbouring arena.
And more: a classic car collection, animal sculptures and rock gardens, tropical fruit gardens, swan pedal boats for children, and restaurants throughout the park.

Show times: 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM (cultural show followed by the elephant show)

Distance: about 30 minutes by car from central Pattaya
Good to Know
Plan around the shows: choose your show time first, then explore the gardens before or after.
Use the sightseeing bus: the park is huge, and a ticket with the sightseeing bus saves a lot of walking in the heat.
Best time: come early in the morning or in the late afternoon for cooler temperatures.
What to bring: hat, sunscreen, water and comfortable walking shoes.
