Silky Oak Country Club: A Scenic Course for Every Level
In the hills of Ban Chang, about 40 minutes south-east of Pattaya, Silky Oak Country Club shares the same estate as St Andrews 2000 and Rayong Green Valley. Opened in 2010, it takes its name from the silky oak, an Australian tree resembling a pine whose silver-grey leaves shimmer in the wind, planted throughout the course. With wide fairways, accessible greens and panoramic views over the surrounding hills, it is ideal for an enjoyable round, whatever your level.
The Course
18 holes · Par 72 · about 6,800 to 7,100 yards depending on the tees
The fairways are wide and forgiving, but the course still has its challenges: real elevation changes, water in play on eight holes, a few pot bunkers and undulating green complexes that reward a good short game.
The 4th and the 13th
Two doglegs where you must cross water twice to reach the green. The 4th is considered the signature hole and one of the toughest on the course.
The Halfway Houses
Set on top of a hill between the two nines, they offer the best view of the course and the countryside. The perfect spot for a short break.

Group size: up to 5 players per group on weekdays and 4 on weekends.
Tee off early: morning rounds are cooler and more pleasant.
