Treasure Hill Golf & Country Club: Pure Golf in the Countryside
In the peaceful hills of Ban Bueng, about an hour from Pattaya, Treasure Hill Golf & Country Club is a hidden gem surrounded by nature, with no houses in sight. Opened in 1994 and carefully refined over the years by its designer, Yoshikazu Kato, this 18-hole course offers mature tree-lined fairways and true greens in a quiet setting. In a 2022 golfer ranking, it was voted the best overall course in Pattaya, and among the most challenging.
The Course
18 holes · Par 72 · about 7,200 yards from the back tees
At first glance, the course may look simple, but it soon proves demanding. Narrow, sloping fairways, several doglegs and mature trees punish any shot offline, so positioning off the tee is key. The bunkers are few but large, mostly on the sides of the greens. The back nine, with its long par 5s, is the most unforgiving part of the round.
Signature Hole: the 16th, the "Crocodile Hole"
A par 5 with a concrete crocodile lurking in the pond to the left of the green. Long hitters may go for the green in two, but most players prefer to lay up safely before the crocodile's pond.
