Akira Club: House Music and Live Shows on Walking Street
Walking Street's newest club opened on 2 January 2026 with a clear idea of what it wanted to be. Akira, on Soi 15 off the strip, plays house and tech rather than commercial EDM, puts live performers on stage, aerialists on hoops above the floor, and builds every weekend around a theme: a St Tropez night, a Las Vegas night, a Masquerade Ball, a House of Neon. The club calls it refined vibes and proper nights, and that is a fair summary. Smaller and more polished than the mega clubs, with a Ladies Night every Thursday and a crowd that dresses for the theme.
What to Expect
The venue: a mid-sized club with a central dance floor, a DJ booth with LED screens, rigging above the floor for aerial performers, and tables along the sides for bottle packages. Clean, modern design with a lot of purple and pink light.
The music: upfront house and tech from resident and guest DJs, with the big hits held back for the small hours. More electronic than most of Walking Street, and mixed for a dance floor rather than for a show.
The shows: live performances through the night, aerial acts on hoops and silks, dancers, and themed production that changes with the weekend's concept. The theme is the reason to pick one weekend over another.
The nights: a themed party every Friday and Saturday, announced in advance with its own visual and dress idea, Ladies Night every Thursday, and seasonal events for Christmas, New Year and Valentine's.
The crowd: international and Asian visitors who want a house night, couples and groups who book a table for a theme, and Walking Street regulars drawn by the newest room on the strip. Dressed up, especially on theme nights.
The rhythm: doors at 10:00 PM, the floor filling after midnight, performances and peak between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM, and the music until late.

Leaving late: taxis and baht buses wait on Soi Marine, off Walking Street, and at Bali Hai Pier at the far end. Both are easier than the crowd at the Beach Road arch.
