Mike Shopping Mall: Budget Shopping on Pattaya Beach Road
Open since the early 1990s, Mike Shopping Mall is one of Pattaya's oldest and most popular shopping centres. It fills almost an entire block between Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road, so you can walk in from the beach and come out on the other side. Here, there is no luxury: just low prices, a relaxed atmosphere and a surprise on the roof.
What to Find
Shopping: T-shirts, beachwear, swimwear, flip-flops, trainers, bags, luggage and souvenirs, with a department store on the upper floors and a supermarket, pharmacy and money changers on the ground floor.
Food: a food court with affordable Thai dishes and snacks. In the evening, street-food stalls set up at the back of the mall, on the Pattaya 2nd Road side.
Rooftop pool: the mall's best-kept secret. On the 10th floor, a public swimming pool with sun loungers and a view over Pattaya Bay, recently reopened after renovation, ideal for a cool break between two shopping sessions.

Good to Know
Bring your swimsuit: if you plan to try the rooftop pool, pack a swimsuit and a towel.
Haggle at the stalls: prices are fixed in the department store, but often negotiable at the small stalls.
Branded goods: many "brand" items sold at stalls are not genuine. Some countries fine travellers who bring counterfeit goods home, so check your own customs rules.
Getting there: the mall is on Beach Road, on the songthaew (baht bus) route. Bolt and Grab are also easy options, or ask our team to arrange your transport.
