Royal Garden Plaza: The Pattaya Mall with the Red Plane
You can't miss it: a bright red plane seems to have crashed into the facade. Opened in the early 1990s between Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road, Royal Garden Plaza was one of the first malls in Pattaya to combine shopping, dining and family attractions under one roof. Recently modernised, it remains a fun, air-conditioned stop just a short walk from Walking Street.
What to Find
Family attractions: the mall is home to the Ripley's attractions, including the famous Believe It or Not! museum of oddities, a haunted adventure, a mirror maze, a motion-ride theatre and Louis Tussaud's wax museum. A great plan for families and groups, especially on a rainy day.
Shopping: a mix of international and Thai brands, fashion, shoes, accessories and souvenirs, plus a Tops supermarket for everyday essentials.
Dining with a view: on the top floor, a large food court offers Thai and international cuisines with views over Pattaya Bay, alongside cafés and restaurants on every level.

Combo tickets: the Ripley's attractions are usually sold individually or as combo passes. Choose a combo if you plan to visit several.
Beat the heat: the mall is a pleasant, air-conditioned shortcut between Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road.
Sunset food court: come to the top floor in the late afternoon for a meal with a view over the bay.
Getting there: the mall is on Beach Road, on the songthaew (baht bus) route, and within walking distance of Walking Street. Bolt and Grab are also easy options.
