Pattaya New Year Countdown 2027
Pattaya is one of Thailand's favourite places to welcome the New Year. Every year, Pattaya Beach becomes a giant open-air festival, with free concerts by top Thai artists, light shows and a spectacular fireworks display over the bay at midnight. On 31 December 2026, tens of thousands of Thai and international visitors will gather by the sea to count down to 2027 together.
Three Nights of Celebration by the Sea
The celebrations usually begin a few days before New Year's Eve, with several nights of concerts on the beach from late afternoon until late at night. The previous edition ran over three nights, from 29 to 31 December, with live performances by some of Thailand's most popular artists, stage productions and a drone light show above Pattaya Beach.
At midnight on 31 December, fireworks light up the sky over the Gulf of Thailand as the whole beach counts down to the New Year.
Countdown All Around Pattaya
The party is not limited to the main stage. Countdown events also take place on Koh Larn, the island just off Pattaya, as well as at the city's major shopping and lifestyle destinations, each with its own concerts, decorations and festive atmosphere. Walking Street, rooftop bars and beach clubs also celebrate late into the night.

Good to Know
Beach Road and the streets around the beach are usually closed or switched to one-way traffic during the celebrations, and the city often provides free shuttle buses and designated parking areas. Arriving early, or reaching the beach on foot, is the easiest way to enjoy the night. Restaurants and rooftop bars with a view of the fireworks are often fully booked well in advance.
