Swim in Turquoise Water
The water at Samae is clear and calm, with a smooth sandy bottom that slopes gently into the sea. Ideal for a long swim, and for families with children.
Relax and Enjoy Lunch
Small beach restaurants serve fresh seafood and Thai dishes, with loungers and umbrellas to rent for the day. Natural shade is rare, so an umbrella is a good idea.
Find the Hidden Walkway
Facing the sea, walk to the left past the rocks to discover a wooden walkway leading to a small, quiet corner with crystal-clear water, one of the island's best-kept secrets.
Climb to the Viewpoint
Above the beach, a viewpoint offers a magnificent panorama over Samae and the Gulf of Thailand, especially beautiful at sunset.
How to Get There
By ferry and songthaew: take the public ferry from Bali Hai Pier to Na Ban Pier on Koh Larn, then a songthaew or motorbike taxi to the beach, about 15 minutes away by road.
By speedboat: some speedboats from Bali Hai Pier go directly to Samae, the fastest option.
By private boat: the most comfortable way, with a drop-off directly on the beach. Ask our Concierge Team.

Good to Know
Go early: the beach is calmer in the morning, before the speedboats and day-trippers arrive.
Watch the tide: at low tide, rocks appear at both ends of the beach. Swim in the middle, where the bottom is sandy.
Two beaches in one day: Tien Beach is only about 10 minutes away on foot.
Check the last boat: if you come by public ferry, always check the return schedule before the end of the afternoon.
Season: November to April offers the calmest sea and the clearest water.
