Tien Beach: Koh Larn's Peaceful Sunset Beach
On the quieter side of Koh Larn, Tien Beach is one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches on the island. Fine white sand lined with palm trees, clear turquoise water and the green hills of the island behind: a postcard setting, far from the crowds of Tawaen. With no direct road access, it keeps a calm, natural atmosphere, and its west-facing shore offers some of the most beautiful sunsets around Pattaya.
What to Do on Tien Beach
Relax Away From the Crowds
Smaller and less developed than the island's main beach, Tien has just a few simple restaurants and lounger operators. The perfect place for a slow day with a book, a fresh coconut and the sound of the waves.
Swim in Clear Water
The water at Tien is among the clearest on Koh Larn. Swim at high tide, when the sea covers the rocks and corals near the shore.
Watch the Sunset
Facing west, Tien Beach is the island's sunset spot. If you are on a private boat, stay until the end of the afternoon for a magical golden light over the Gulf of Thailand.
Fresh Seafood
The small beach restaurants serve grilled seafood and Thai dishes, just steps from the water.
How to Get There
By ferry and songthaew: take the public ferry from Bali Hai Pier to Koh Larn, then a songthaew or motorbike taxi towards Tien. The beach has no direct road, so the last part is a short walk of about 5 minutes.
By private boat: the easiest and most comfortable way, with a drop-off directly on the beach. Ask our Concierge Team.

Good to Know
Check the tide: at low tide, rocks and corals appear near the shore. Swimming is best at high tide.
Water shoes: recommended to protect your feet from rocks and corals.
Fewer services: bring water, sunscreen, a hat and cash, as there are only a few restaurants.
Check the last boat: if you come by public ferry, always check the return schedule before the end of the afternoon.
Season: November to April offers the calmest sea and the clearest water.
