Cosy Beach: A Hidden Cove on Pratumnak Hill
Tucked below the green slopes of Pratumnak Hill, between Pattaya and Jomtien, Cosy Beach is one of Pattaya's best-kept secrets. This small, sheltered cove of about 200 metres, framed by rocky headlands and tropical vegetation, feels miles away from the city, yet it is only a few minutes from Walking Street. Calm water, few crowds and no jet skis: the perfect spot for a peaceful swim, a good book and a beautiful sunset.
What to Do on Cosy Beach
Swim in Calm Water
Protected by its headlands, Cosy Beach usually enjoys calmer and clearer water than the larger city beaches. Swim in the middle of the beach, where the sandy entry is the easiest.
Relax Away From the Crowds
With no hotels directly on the sand and only a few loungers and food vendors, Cosy Beach stays quiet, even in high season. Ideal for couples looking for a calm escape.
Watch the Sunset
Facing west over the Gulf of Thailand, the cove offers lovely sunsets. Enjoy the view from the beach or from the small gardens on the hill above.
Explore the Rocks at Low Tide
At low tide, the beach widens and the rocky cape at its southern end becomes easier to explore. Wear water shoes, as the rocks and shells can be sharp.

A small beach: space is limited, so come early on weekends to find a good spot.
Basic facilities: only a few loungers and vendors, so bring water, a towel and some shade.
Water shoes: recommended near the rocks at both ends of the beach.
Easy to miss: the access is discreet, so a private car is the easiest way to get there.
Best time: morning for a quiet swim, or late afternoon for the sunset.
