Pattaya Beach: The Heart of the City by the Sea
Stretching for almost 3 km along Beach Road, from the Dusit Thani in the north to Walking Street and Bali Hai Pier in the south, Pattaya Beach is the city's iconic crescent of sand. Widened and renovated in recent years, with a beautiful seaside promenade, it is the perfect place for a walk, a lounger in the shade, water sports or one of Pattaya's famous sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand. And it is just a few minutes from our villas in Soi Pattaya Land.
What to Do on Pattaya Beach
Relax on a Lounger
Loungers and umbrellas can be rented along the whole beach, with vendors serving cold drinks and snacks. The perfect spot to spend a lazy afternoon by the sea.
Watch the Sunset
Facing west over the bay, Pattaya Beach offers spectacular sunsets every evening. Walk along the promenade as the city lights come on, then head to dinner or a rooftop bar.
Water Sports
Jet skis, parasailing and banana boats are available along the beach. For your safety and peace of mind, choose a reputable operator and check the equipment before you ride, or ask our team to recommend one.
Take the Boat to Koh Larn
At the southern end of the beach, Bali Hai Pier is the departure point for ferries and speedboats to Koh Larn, the island with clearer water and white-sand beaches, about 30 minutes away by ferry.
Around Pattaya Beach
Beach Road is the city's main seaside avenue, lined with hotels, restaurants, cafés and shopping centres. Central Festival Pattaya Beach and Royal Garden Plaza are right on the waterfront, while Walking Street lights up the southern end of the beach after dark.
