Plutaluang Royal Thai Navy Golf Course: 36 Holes in Nature
South of Pattaya, on the way to Sattahip, Plutaluang Royal Thai Navy Golf Course is one of the oldest courses in the region. Opened in 1969 and still run by the Royal Thai Navy, it offers 36 holes in a wooded valley around a large natural reservoir, home to many birds, flowers and small wildlife. A classic, natural course, popular with golfers who love beautiful surroundings and good value.
The Four Nines
The course is made up of four nine-hole loops named after the cardinal points: North and South, the original layouts, and East and West, added in the mid-1990s. Combine them for six different 18-hole rounds, each with narrow fairways, well-protected greens, plenty of bunkers and thick rough.
North
The longest nine, home to the most famous hole of the course: the par-3 3rd, with its island green and its own lighthouse.
South
Its closing par 4 starts from the highest point of the course, with a long downhill drive followed by an approach over water to a small green.
East and West
The two more recent loops, with generous fairways, water hazards, elevation changes and many mature trees.

Good to Know
Book in advance: the course is popular, especially at weekends.
The 19th hole: the clubhouse restaurant offers lovely views over the course and the hills.
Towels: they are not included in the changing rooms, so bring your own.
Tee off early: morning rounds are cooler, and the last tee times are in the early afternoon.
Getting there: a private car is the easiest option with your golf bags. Ask our team to arrange your transport.
