808 Club: Hip-Hop and Live Rap on Walking Street
Named after the drum machine behind every hip-hop beat, 808 is where Walking Street goes for rap. A proper club room with a stage, a central bar you can reach from anywhere on the floor, and a programme that no other club on the strip can match: resident DJs from the Bangkok hip-hop scene, regular All Star Nights with Thai rap artists live on stage, and a crowd that comes for the bars and the hooks rather than the drops. Less of a mega club than its neighbours, more of a scene, and the first address in Pattaya for anyone who follows Thai hip-hop.
What to Expect
The venue: a long room built around a central island bar, with the stage and DJ booth at one end and standing tables along the sides for groups with bottles. Dark, loud and focused on the stage: when an artist is on, the whole room faces the same way.
The music: hip-hop, trap and R&B all night, from resident DJs who rotate through the week, and live showcases by Thai rappers on event nights. Expect the current Thai and international rap hits, not EDM.
The nights: showcases by visiting DJ crews, All Star Nights with a headline rapper live on stage, and regular weekend sessions. The line-up changes constantly, so a given night can be a quiet club or a packed concert.
The crowd: younger and more Thai than the big tourist clubs, with international visitors who know the artists and Walking Street regulars who prefer rap to house. Dense when an artist is announced.
The rhythm: doors from around 10:00 PM, the floor filling after midnight, live sets usually in the small hours, and the music until 6:00 AM.

Getting there: on foot along Walking Street, about 5 minutes by car from Soi Pattaya Land to the Beach Road arch. Bolt or Grab is the easiest option, or ask our team to arrange your transport.
Age: adults only. The legal drinking age in Thailand is 20, and ID may be checked at the door.

Arrive early on artist nights: when a rapper is announced, the room fills fast. Come before midnight for a spot near the stage.

Check prices first: drink prices are posted at the bar. Keep an eye on your bill when ordering rounds.
Leaving late: taxis and baht buses wait on Soi Marine, off Walking Street, and at Bali Hai Pier at the far end. Both are easier than the crowd at the Beach Road arch.
