LK Metro: Pattaya's Compact Nightlife District

Everything Walking Street has, on a scale you can actually take in. LK Metro is a short L-shaped street off Soi Buakhao in central Pattaya, packed with more than fifty bars, go-go bars and a disco, all within a two-minute walk of each other. Less spectacle than Walking Street, lower prices, and a loyal crowd of expats and repeat visitors who prefer to spend the whole evening in one place. Adults only.

What to Expect

The street: two short legs joined at a corner, with go-go bars behind closed doors on one side and open-front beer bars on the other. You can see the whole district from the corner, which is exactly the point.

Go-go bars: the heart of LK Metro. A stage, dancers, DJs and shows, in rooms ranging from intimate to multi-level. Each has its own style, from classic show bar to club-like production. Around five of them are the names everyone knows, with a dozen smaller ones in between.

Bars and more: open-air beer bars with pool tables, a reggae bar that draws a different crowd, a cocktail lounge, and since June 2026 a disco for those who want to dance rather than watch.

The crowd: long-term expats who live nearby, tourists looking for something easier than Walking Street, and Thai locals who work or hang out in the area. The pace is slower and nobody rushes you from one bar to the next.

The rhythm: beer bars fill from the early evening, go-go bars open around 8:00 PM, and the street stays busy until 3:00 AM.

  • Opening hours: beer bars from the early evening, go-go bars from around 8:00 PM, until 3:00 AM, hours vary by venue

  • Getting there: about 10 minutes by car from Walking Street or Soi Pattaya Land. Bolt or Grab is the easiest option, or ask our team to arrange your transport.

  • Age: adults only. The legal drinking age in Thailand is 20.

  • Location: See LK Metro on Google Maps

Good to Know

  • Walk the L first: the district is small enough to see in five minutes. Do a lap before you sit down anywhere.

  • Check prices first: go-go bars post their drink prices, and most run happy hours in the early evening. Drinks for staff are priced separately from your own.

  • No photos inside: staff and customers do not want to be filmed. Keep your phone in your pocket once you are inside a go-go bar.

  • Take a break: the reggae bar and the open-air beer bars are a good reset between two go-go bars.

  • Combine your evening: Tree Town and Soi Buakhao are a short walk away for dinner before, and the whole area makes one long evening without a taxi.
