Ta Yai Beach: Koh Larn's Hidden Little Cove
At the northern tip of Koh Larn, Ta Yai Beach is the smallest and one of the most peaceful beaches on the island. A crescent of white sand of barely 100 metres, framed by beautiful rock formations on both sides, with clear turquoise water and the feeling of having a private beach to yourself. Far from the ferry piers and the crowds of Tawaen, it is the perfect escape for travellers looking for calm and natural beauty.
What to Do on Ta Yai Beach
Enjoy the Peace and Quiet
With only a small restaurant and a few loungers, Ta Yai keeps an intimate, unspoiled atmosphere. The ideal spot to relax with a book and the sound of the waves.
Swim in Clear Water
Sheltered between its rocky headlands, the cove offers clear, turquoise water. The sea gets deep quite quickly, perfect for a refreshing swim.
Photograph the Rocks
The rock formations around the bay make Ta Yai one of the most photogenic beaches on Koh Larn, especially in the soft light of the late afternoon.
Visit the Hilltop Viewpoint
On the hill above the north of the island, a viewpoint offers a panoramic view over Pattaya Bay and the city skyline, an easy stop on the way to the beach.
How to Get There
By ferry and local transport: take the public ferry from Bali Hai Pier to Na Ban Pier on Koh Larn, then a motorbike taxi or a private songthaew to the north of the island. The last part is a steep but well-maintained road down to the beach.
By private boat: the easiest and most comfortable way to reach this secluded cove. Ask our Concierge Team.

A small beach: space and services are limited, so bring water, sunscreen and cash.
Plan your return: shared songthaews do not always go to Ta Yai, so arrange your ride back in advance.
Deep water: the sea gets deep close to the shore, so keep an eye on children.
Check the last boat: if you come by public ferry, always check the return schedule before the end of the afternoon.
Season: November to April offers the calmest sea and the clearest water.
