In the peaceful Naklua area, just north of central Pattaya, Wong Amat Beach is often described as the cleanest and most tranquil beach on the Pattaya mainland. Lined with upscale resorts and residences, this gentle curve of sand offers calm, clear water, few crowds and no noisy water sports. At its northern end, the carved wooden spires of the Sanctuary of Truth rise above the sea, creating one of the most beautiful views on the coast.
What to Do on Wong Amat Beach
Relax in Peace
Far from the bustle of Beach Road, Wong Amat is the perfect beach for a quiet day by the sea, a good book and a swim in calmer water. A few beachfront restaurants and loungers are available along the sand.
Watch the Sunset
Facing west over the Gulf of Thailand, Wong Amat offers spectacular sunsets, especially beautiful from the rocky outcrops at the southern end of the beach.
Walk to the Sanctuary of Truth
Walk north along the shore for stunning views of the Sanctuary of Truth from the sea, then visit this extraordinary temple carved entirely from wood.
Discover Naklua
Just inland, the Naklua district keeps the soul of an old fishing village, with its fresh seafood market and local restaurants. The perfect place for an authentic seafood lunch.

Access: free public beach, reached via Naklua Soi 16, Soi 18 or Soi 22
Getting there: about 15 to 20 minutes by car from our villas in Soi Pattaya Land
Good to Know
Calm and family-friendly: no jet skis and very few vendors, ideal for couples and families.
Fewer services: loungers and umbrellas are less common than on Pattaya Beach, so bring a beach towel and some shade.
Best time: early morning for a peaceful swim, or late afternoon for the sunset.
Combine your day: the Sanctuary of Truth and the Naklua seafood market are both a few minutes away.
Sun protection: bring sunscreen, a hat and water, as shade is limited.
