Pleasant Valley Golf & Country Club: Golf Among Lakes and Wild Nature
In the foothills north of Pattaya, close to Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Pleasant Valley Golf & Country Club offers an 18-hole course set among lakes, reed-filled wetlands and ponds, home to a rich local wildlife. Designed by Golf East and opened around 2009, it is one of the more demanding courses in the area: water is everywhere, and the temptation to cut corners is constant. A natural, peaceful setting for golfers who enjoy a strategic round.
The Course
18 holes · about 7,000 yards from the back tees, 5,800 from the front
Several holes run alongside or across the wetlands, with doglegs around the water and some substantial forced carries. The back nine is the tightest and most water-heavy. The terrain is fairly gentle, and the breezes coming off the hills add an extra challenge.
The 12th
A par 5 where the tee shot requires a carry of about 200 yards just to put the ball in play.
The 18th
A short par-4 dogleg of about 360 yards to close your round. Long hitters can take the direct line to the green, while others can play around it safely. Will you take the risk?

Good to Know
Drive straight: some fairways are tight, and the wetlands do not give balls back.
Listen to your caddie: on the water-heavy back nine, they will tell you exactly where to aim.
Book midweek: the course is quieter and more relaxed on weekdays.
Combine with the area: Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Khao Kheow Country Club and Bangpra are all nearby.
