Rayong Green Valley Country Club: A Peter Thomson Course in the Hills
In the rolling hills of Ban Chang, about 45 minutes south-east of Pattaya, Rayong Green Valley Country Club is one of the most picturesque courses in the region. Designed in 1992 by Australian legend Peter Thomson, five-time winner of The Open Championship, with Michael Wolveridge, it follows the natural shape of the land: hills, rocky outcrops, native cactus and sloping fairways. It shares the same estate as St Andrews 2000 and Silky Oak, now known together as Barcelona Valley.

18 holes · Par 72 · about 7,000 yards from the back tees
Locally nicknamed the "hilly course with hilly greens", Rayong Green Valley was designed to welcome players of all levels while keeping the natural character of the land. Cunning doglegs, strategic bunkering and rocky outcrops shape the round, but the real challenge lies on the relatively small, sloping greens, which are hard to read. A scenic, enjoyable course that rewards patience and a good short game.

Read the greens carefully: small and sloping, they are the key to a good score.
